In particular, the purpose of the systems is to detect and eliminate potential risks on trains before an event occurs and to maintain track availability through early detection and appropriate intervention measures.<\/p>\n

These facilities include RAWLOC systems as so-called wheel load checkpoints RLC.[\/vc_column_text][mk_divider style=\u00a0\u00bbpadding_space\u00a0\u00bb][mk_blockquote font_family=\u00a0\u00bbnone\u00a0\u00bb]The wheel load checkpoints are part of the train control equipment used throughout the SBB network and serve to ensure the safety of rail operations. Originally designed as \u00ab\u00a0wheel load scales\u00a0\u00bb (quasi static), it has become apparent over the last few years that the system is capable of much more. It has evolved into an RLC that can also measure the wheel and thus axle loads of fast-moving trains (dynamic).[\/mk_blockquote][mk_blockquote font_family=\u00a0\u00bbnone\u00a0\u00bb]RLC are primarily of interest for freight trains. Here, most of the causes of the deviations measured by the RLC occur during loading of the cars and train formation.
